The below procedure is to demonstrate how to configure the clinical application Zedmed for medium level integration with the agent.
Zedmed 12.x and ReferralNet 2.3.x creating low level integration.
Note: If there is a network installation of Zedmed, the agent should be installed on the server using non-interactive mode.
Create directories on the local device for the sending and receiving of ReferralNet files (recommended location below).
Determine if you are viewing Zedmed Office or Zedmed Clinical.
If using Zedmed office the practice name will be in the window title. Click on the “Clinical Records” button to open Zedmed Clinical.
If using Zedmed Clinical the window title will be “Zedmed Clinical”, proceed to step 3.
From the Zedmed Clinical window, click on the Address Book icon on the task bar.
In the Name field, type in the word ReferralNet and click on the Find button.
Set Type of Contact to Pathology Laboratory
Set Given Name to Global Health Ltd
Set Speciality to Specialist
Set the Practice Location to the Global Health Melbourne Office.
Set the DL Directory to the folder created in the 1st step.
Set the UL Directory to the folder created in the 1st step.
Click the OK button and return to the main menu.
Select Tools → Global Options from the main menu.
Select the Communications tab, then click an unassigned Other Service … tab.
In the Description field, key in ReferralNet.
In the Send Path field, key in or browse to the destination (OutBox) path specified earlier.
Select ReferralNet from the Default Send Type drop down list.
Tick the box for
Embed RTF into PIT and click
OK.
