ReferralNet Agent - Scheduling
The Agent ships with two helper executables which start and stop the agent (regardless of the installation mode).
- StartReferralNetAgent.exe
- StopReferralNetAgent.exe
They are designed to be scheduled by the Window Scheduler; please refer to the Windows documentation on how to create and manage tasks with the scheduler.
Starting the Agent
To start the Agent, schedule a task that runs StartReferralNetAgent.exe.
Note: If the Agent is installed in Tray Mode, please ensure your scheduled task is running as the appropriate user. For example; if you configure the Agent using the account MYDOMAIN\BILLY, your scheduled task that starts the agent must also be configured to run as MYDOMAIN\BILLY.
Stopping the Agent
To stop the Agent, schedule a task that runs StopReferralNetAgent.exe.
The Agent will wait for any downloading or uploading tasks to complete before stopping. Any interactive sending tasks will be closed immediately.
