ReferralNet Agent - Configuring Windows Explorer Integration

This version of the agent is no longer current.

The agent software can be configured to integrate itself with Windows Explorer, providing a seamless ability to send files straight from the file system.

Note: It is important to be aware that there is currently no restriction on what type of file you can send to a ReferralNet recipient, this is in itself fine but the recipient agent instance may choose not to retrieve and ingest the message if it hasn't been configured to accept the type of file that you are sending. The recipient's agent software can be configured to send email notifications alerting to the fact that it has been sent a payload type that it does not explicitly address in its receive configuration.

By default the explorer integration is disabled, so you will need to enable it via the settings panel of the agent's configuration section.

Now that you have enabled the option and clicked on the save button, duck out into Windows Explorer and right click on any file, you will notice ReferralNet is now present under the Send To context menu option.

Once you select the ReferralNet option you will be presented with the familiar directory lookup and send screen where you can locate the recipient, view the selected file prior to sending and ultimately sign, encrypt and send the file through the ReferralNet network.
