Integration

myPractice is integrated with ReferralNet service.

At present (4/3/2011), myPractice is only able to send electronic messages and NOT receive electronic messages.

Setting up myPractice 3

The following setup guide is taken from http://www.mypractice.net.au/ReferralNet

  1. Under Options > Secure Messaging, in the ReferralNet section, tick the 'Active' checkbox. The ReferralNet Account must be entered along with the ReferralNet Account password used to send messages.

  2. Each Practitioner must have their ReferralNet User ID (usually in the form of "urn:refnet:<email address>") entered in their record under User Administration. Each Practitioner must have an Address entered, even if it is the same one for every Practitioner. Do not enter "urn:refnet", just enter the email address.

  3. Each potential Recipient must be listed in the Referrers section and have their ReferralNet Account included in with their record. Note that you can Search ReferralNet from the Referrers Screen for the ReferralNet Account and Import it.

    ReferralNet Search button.

ReferralNet Account Search - enter a name, or email address or part thereof.

  4. How to send a message …
  • Create a Letter/Report for the Client in the Letter Editor as normal.
Important Note: All Clients must have a Practitioner selected in 'Client Details' - this is so that the message can be directed to the Recipient via the correct Practitioner account.
  • When completed, click "Send Securely"
  • Select the Recipient and click "Send to Selected"
  • myPractice checks that the Recipient is listed in the myPractice Referrers listing along with the Recipients ReferralNet Account.
  • The letter is encrypted and then passed, along with the Recipient and Sender details to the ReferralNet system.
  • ReferralNet directs the message to the Recipient.
  • Note: myPractice will return an error if the Sender or Recipient details are not correct.
