Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does "Invalid timestamp The security semantics of the message have expired" mean?

When I try to access the service, the agent reports this error: An error was discovered processing the header. (WSSecurityEngine: Invalid timestamp The security semantics of the message have expired.)

Each message sent by a client application contains a time-stamp. The server refuses messages sent more than five minutes ago. This is to prevent replay attacks (where an attacker gets hold of a valid message and then sends it again later). It may also manifest itself as a HTTP 400 Bad Request response, more details can be located here.

Ensure the time on the workstation is correct (using time synchronisation is recommended).

Is it possible to receive messages using the Word plug-in?

Currently, no, the plug-in does not support the receiving of messages, we recommend you use our agent software to facilitate this.

What kind of message formats does the Word plug-in support?

Currently the plug-in supports the following file formats;

  • HL7 v2.3.1 REF I12 with embedded Rich Text Format (RTF)
  • Rich Text Format (RTF)

In future releases, we envisage the plug-in will be extended to support native Word documents (doc, docx).

Is it possible to add additional documents to a message, I mean, can I append supporting attachments in addition to the main document?

Currently no, the plug-in does not support the ability to attach files outside of the Microsoft Word product.
